Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Politique d_inscription 2018 F.pdf

All skaters must create an account at least 5 days BEFORE the registration period. They must inform the club of the activity and the skater must receive a confirmation from the club before they can register to obtain the maximum discounts. View the video at the bottom of the home page to see how simple it is to do.

General Information:

  • Skaters must be at least 5 years old by September 30, 2018 to be eligible to register for the CanSkate Fall/Winter 2018-2019 classes.  All skaters must have created an account at least 5 days BEFORE the registration period. If you already have an existing account with the club, DO NOT create a 2nd, you will not be able to register as the skater profiles will not have been validated by the club volunteers. All new or updated accounts MUST be validated by the club prior to registration.
  • The carte loisirs (beginning with 12777) is mandatory and must be valid until September 30th, 2018. You can obtain a new or renewed card at the Centre des Loisirs (1375 Grenet), the sports complexe or at the library.
  • The club uniform is MANDATORY for skaters registered in CanSkate or PreJunior classes (not included in the registration fee). The uniform may be purchased at the club office during the evening. Please consult the office hours for exact times. Please bring your child to ensure correct sizing.
    • Girls : skirt, beige tights and club sweathirt ($55) 
    • Boys : Club sweatshirt ($20); jeans are not permitted.
  • CSA approved hockey helmet is required for all skaters until the skater receives Badge 5 (adults included)
  • Supportive Skates of good quality
  • Skate Guards
  • Gloves

 All families who are eligible for financial assistance for their skating lessons MUST forward a copy of the certificate to the club office ONE week before registration. Please note that the financial assistance discount does not apply for the spring or summer sessions.

PRIVATE: Please ensure that you have consulted with your coach and have confirmed your ice time selection before completing your registration. Course fees are payable directly to your coach.

  • Preregistration (for members)*: August 6th from 20:00 to August 18th 20:00
  • General Registration (for new members)*: August 22nd from 19:00 to August 29th 20:00
  • Late Registration (members and new members) (provided space remains): August 30th 20:00 to September 2nd 20:00

(*) All skaters registered with the club during the 2017-2018 Fall/Winter Season are considered to be club members. Skaters registered with the club during the 2018 Spring Season or who are registering for the first time are considered as new members.

  


Pre Registration (August 6th 20:00 to August 18th 20:00)

  • The pre-registration period is exclusively reserved to the CPA Saint-Laurent members registered during the Fall-Winter 2017-2018 season and members of their immediate family (brother, sister) who meet the registration criteria.
  • A new registration for Spring or Summer 2018 does not provide any priority registration privileges for the Fall-Winter 2017-2018 season.
  • Skaters who have passed a STAR test are in-eligible to register for CanSkate, PreJunior or Adult classses.
  • No new registration in private is possible for non-members.
  • A skater may registration for a maximum of 3 sessions in private (Junior/Inter1) or 4 sessions (Inter 2/Senior)  or 1 group class.

Group Lessons

NEW THIS SEASON: Skaters who have registered for either a CanSkate or a PreJunior session have the possibilty supplement with a private session. The list of ice sessions is provided in the ice time schedule under the Calendar tab. (resident pricing: $35.00, non-resident pricing: $50.00). Please add the Group lesson before adding the additional ice session and ensure you have confirmed with the coach of your choice of their availability to teach your child before completing the registration. Course fees are payable directly to your coach. 

Skaters with who have not received their complete badge 5 must leave the ice at the conclusion of their lesson.

(1) A family rebate of $15 will be deducted from your invoice if a 2nd family member is registered on the same invoice. An additional rebate of $20 will be deducted from your invoice for the 3rd family member and each subsequent family member registers on the same invoice. Please note that no adjustments will be made to provide a family rebate if the registrations are not performed on the same transaction.

Lesson fees are not included and are payable directly to the coach.

(1) Each skater may register for a maximum of 3 sessions (Junior/Inter 1) and a maximum of 4 sessions (Inter1/Senior). If the skater exceeds the number of sessions allowed, all the sessions will highlighted in red. It will be possible to complete the transaction by removing the surplus sessions.   

(2) A family rebate of $15 will be deducted from your invoice if a 2nd family member is registered on the same invoice. An additional rebate of $20 will be deducted from your invoice for the 3rd family member and each subsequent family member registers on the same invoice. Please note that no adjustments will be made to provide a family rebate if the registrations are not performed on the same transaction. 


Administrative

  1. The CPA Saint-Laurent is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal articles nor any accidents, which may happen during the off-ice or on ice sessions. The participants are responsible to maintain their personal training equipment.
  2. To obtain the maximum discount, registrations MUST be completed in a single transaction. Multiple transactions will not benefit from the discounted rate. 
  3. Requests for adjustments will not be accepted once the transaction has been finalized by the registrant.
  4. A fee of $10 will apply for all requests made to change sessions.
  5. A fee of $25 will apply for all requests made to add sessions.
  6. A fee of $25 will be applied for any cheques refused by the bank (NSF). 
  7. Cancellations or special events associated with arena activities are not eligible for session replacement or reimbursement.
  8. The club reserves the right to make adjustments to the groups where necessary.

Group lessons

  1. Credits or replacement classes are not possible for missed CanSkate, PreJunior or Adult classes.

Private

  1. A skater can skate in a session in which he or she has not registered only if he or she buys a ‘patch’.  Credits or replacement sessions are not possible for missed sessions.

Please note that if you have an unpaid balance, you will not be able to register in any class until the balance is paid.

Registrations completed without notifiying the club (24 hour notice) newly created acounts,  not having submitted the required documents (i.e. updated carte loisirs) will not receive any discount. This is aligned iwth borough policies.

Fall/Winter 2023-2024 (insert politique d'inscription)

All skaters must create an account at least 5 days BEFORE the registration period. If you are adding a new skater, please advise the club and send an email to cpa.stlaurent@gmail.com with a copy of the valid carte loisirs. An email will be sent to the account holder to confirm the update which will allow the account holder to to obtain the maximum discounts before registration.

Skaters who register in private lessons are responsible for hiring their own coach.  They must confirm with the coaches the agreed upon lesson time BEFORE registration. Link to the page with Our coaches

Having difficulty finding a program? Use the side menu options to filter the displayed programs. You can also use the code which begins with 23A-....which appears on the session page referenced at the top of the page.

Take the time to review your choices during the registration process. All sessions remain visible even if all spots are taken so you can place your name on the waitlist. The system will allow you sufficient time to complete the registration process. There is no need to rush through your selection. 

You can review if you have completed your transaction by viewing the invoice or calendar tab. If you have correctly performed the registration process, the sessions you have selected will appear in an invoice and your calendar.

If you choose to make an online payment by credit card and the transaction is denied, we ask that you do not try to repeat the transaction. Please communicate with your credit card provider for more information on the refusal before trying again. Please note that the transaction will remain in your basket for at least 15 minutes. If the card is still refused, please send an email to the club (cpa.stlaurent@gmail.com) and we will attempt to try to reserve your spot during your communication with your credit card provider.

REGISTRATION
You are responsible to provide copies of all updated information via email (cpa.stlaurent@gmail.com) 48 houres BEFORE registration:
  • Borough issued documents for Low-income families wishing to benefit from a discount. (Fall-Winter session only)
Registrations which have been completed without providing the mandatory documents and a confirmation of the account update will not receive the associated discounts. In accordance with the borough policies, no adjustments will be issued once the registration has been finalized by the account holder.
